![]() From the young woman who fights fire, to the elderly gentleman enjoying the moments with his grand-kids, you can witness how this community has come together to honor brave men and women. Spending the weekend at Silverwood gives our sons the opportunity to thank others that have served while we are in the park. Spending a day with your family, belly laughing, screaming down roller coasters and enjoying the best funnel cake around, is a great way to get the chance to tell the stories that have been handed down from generations of our heros – local and nationwide, who stood strong and brave for us. They have made a commitment to honors all servicemen and women that have been in uniform for our country and our community from military to police and firefighters. For us, we take this weekend to make a special day (and weekend with our Gold Pass) to go to Silverwood. Our family specifically is filled with service men for generations as far back as I can remember. ![]() Memorial day is a time to remember all of the fallen soldiers, policemen, and firefighters that have paid the ultimate price for our freedom and safety. We eat cake, buy presents, celebrate mom and look forward to long weekends, but there is one holiday that is very special to our family. ![]() It is a time when the snow melts, the flowers bloom, the sun shines and the birthdays and special holidays start. Being a North Idaho family, we are blessed with four seasons that are usually breath taking! Winters here can be long and hard, but as such, we get excited and look forward every year to spring.
